We were there AGAINST gov't take-over of healthcare,...but also to uphold standards. Arizona simply MUST keep it's place first amongst all others as the "Gun Guy State".

Yes...you can still do that and re-post them.

Also, someone on another board noted his spare mag was loaded...assuming the rifle was loaded, too?

Correct. Mostly, he won't be on Chris Matthews because Chris B. prefers to remain relatively annonymous. I was there with him today (we're fellow activists from the same group). The reason he wasn't arrested, apart from the fact he is black, is because we called Phx.P.D. last night to inform them we were coming. We told them there would be several of us,...but left out the part about the AR-15. They assigned us a P.D. liazon officer, who met us down there and was our own personal escort the entire time. Everyone was well-behaved and all went well. We had no intention of confronting anyone. We were there for the photo op.

We couldn't let New Hampshire out-do us now, could we?!

How come I didn't see any of you down there? I think I saw Sturkis,...but aside from spitfire and myself,...no one else from AZS seemed to be there.

We presumed that some ACORN nut might get perturbed and try to disarm him and take the gun. So, not trusting that such a person might know how to safely handle an AR, the gun was empty. However, Chris's G-19 was ready to rock, as were all the others in attendance. There were always at least 3 to 7 cops within immediate reach if something went down,...so we felt that for the safety of any idiot attempting to grab it, the item everyone would focus in on should be de-fanged. (But as you can see,...there were spare fangs at the ready.)

When we first got there, the ACORN nuts out-numbered the real people by 5 to 1. But that was not only because they had been mostly bussed in from Pima County, but because J.D. Hayworth was speaking down the street at Tom's Tavern, and most of the conservative crowd decided to go there first. After J.D. shut his trap,...they all began to finally mosey on over. Eventually, by about 9:30 or 9:45, the sides were about evenly matched. But due to their early superiority in numbers, the ACORN folks were really worked up and believing they were in the majority. In fact, that was one of their chants;..."We are the majority,...we are the majority,...."

Some of us who would have loved to have been there had very important things to do, like putting in a day of work to pay my bills. If these jackasses would do this at an hour where we could do it after work, I'd be there in a minute. Hell, I'm already out a few hundred $$ this month due to missing work for the damn eye problem I have and not being able to work.
