Matthew Owens Of Alabama Allegedly Beaten By Mob In 'Justice For Trayvon' Rage

Matthew Owens was allegedly beaten by a vicious mob, after which someone uttered the words, "Now that's justice for Trayvon."

Alabama police are trying to track down a mob that beat a man into critical condition -- leaving their battered victim with the words, "Now that's justice for Trayvon."

Cops told WKRG that Matthew Owens got in an argument with some kids playing basketball at a court in the city of Mobile on Saturday night. The kids left and a group of some 20 adults arrived at Owens' front doorstep, armed with chairs, brass knuckles, pipes and paint cans.

The group, all African American, allegedly beat him into a bloody pulp before someone uttered the words that connected the crime to the death of Trayvon Martin, the unarmed teen who was shot and killed in Florida by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman.

"It was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed," Owens' sister, Ashley Parker, told the station. She said the perps utilized "anything they could get their hands on" as weapons.

Cops searched the area, but couldn't find any suspects.

The February death of Martin has received international attention after Zimmerman killed the 17-year-old boy in what he said was self defense. A failure to immediately charge Zimmerman in the case caused public outcry as well as nationwide debates about gun law and race. Earlier this month, he was charged with second-degree murder.

Speaking as a guy who did his Junior and Senior High School years in a school that was 2/3 black and who put a couple of said blacks in the hospital before he achieved peace for himself...

I'm not at all surprised by this. This is normal behavior for these type of people. Expect it and meet violence with even greater violence and you'll do fine.

These crimes are absolutely nothing new, now the criminals just have a theme for saying why they do it.

That's right, they're just looking for an excuse, any excuse to do what they really want to do anyway.

Read an article on line that says the local cops are trying to play this down, saying that this feud had been going on for quite some time. Sounds like more PC crap to me. 30 to 1, don't think so. This was hate crime plain and simple. OOPS,my bad, it was black on white crime so that doesn't apply.

Here is the part that I don't understand. 20 people armed with chairs, pipes, etc come knocking on the door and he goes outside? Or he is out front and sees them approaching his front porch and he stays outside?

He is STUPID, regardless of the fact that they are scum, he is STUPID.

You come knocking on my door while holding a weapon, you better be wearing body armor. And if there are 20 of your friends with you, I sure as heck aint staying outside or coming outside. I'll pick you off while standing in the doorway. We'll watch your friends scatter like the cockroaches they are after I drop you and whoever is next in line.
