BT, Some would say "philosophically", I haven't seemed to have that problem...

UNGH.

Scope is mounted, thing looks nice. It's just a little too much for the carry bag though. I either have about 1.5" of glass or stock sticking out the top, forcing me to shop for a new bag. Oh no, not that! ;)

Coolest takedown method I've seen yet--no threads and not even 1/4 turn required. Wish the stock was shorter/retractable so that a 16" bbl was the longest part but as it is, the stocked receiver is only 20" so it's not that bad.

picked one up today. cool little 22.

anyone with one. did you put a scope on it. I would like to find a low profile scope that will allow it to fit in the bag.

any suggestions.

I like the idea, but I would prefer it with a 16" barrel and possibly threaded.

I just put on a 16" take off barrel from a tactical model.

One problem I saw this weekend... went shooting with a buddy and he was zeroing his takedown. Went rapid fire at one point with remmington thunderbolt and it blew the case up, ejected the mag and the bottom of the case hit him in the forehead. The manual says not to shoot stinger rounds. Thunderbolt is a slightly higher velocity round but not quite stinger. Also the scope he put on the objective was too large to break it down. I probably will take a pass on them now.

Usually the Mfgr. says not to use stingers because the case is a bit longer than std LR and it will cause problems in a short chamber.... It's not usually about the velocity/pressure.

I suppose that would make sense. I still dont get the warm fuzzies about that particular 10-22 though.
