I'm considering buying one of the Nikon M308 scopes with the Nikoplex reticle. Does anyone own one? If so, what's your opinion of it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Beats me but I'm perfectly happy with a 1" tube.

With all due respect, I posted here to try to get some info on this scope rather than to debate the merits of 30MM vs 25.4MM or the price.
Does anyone have experience with this optic?

Price seems more than reasonable, especially considering it comes with a 20 MOA mount. 80 MOA of adjustment is nice.

Looks to be brand new so probably not a lot of folks out there who have experience with it.

I'll definitely be looking at it.

Well it may take a while. I’m already having a problem.
The SWFA website lists these scopes as if they are in stock and continues to do so but the day after I ordered one, SWFA sent me an email saying the scope was on back order. I think that’s a poor way to do business since most outfits will tell you right up front that you will be placing a back order.
So, if they can’t produce one in the next 2-3 weeks, I’m going to cancel my order with SWFA and wait to order one from a more reputable dealer.
All of the other Nikon dealers are advertising them as “coming soon” so I feel what SWFA is doing lacks integrity. In any case, this will be my last order with SWFA. I don’t care to do business like this.
I’ll keep you guys posted.
Meanwhile, if you hear of anyone who has these in stock, I would appreciate hearing about it.

I agree that Nikon products are good. I presently have several pre-Monarch Nikon scopes on my rifles and a couple of the Monarch series as well.
I replaced two Zeiss Conquest scopes with Nikons after making side by side comparisons.

Nikon customer service is great. I bought a used Nikon once on eBay that had a problem. I sent it to Nikon and a week later they sent me a new Monarch. You can’t beat that kind of service.
I also use a Nikon binocular and a Nikon spotting scope.

I was not able to buy a M308 from SWFA. They advertised them on their website implying they had them in stock but after I placed my order, they sent me an email saying the scope was on back order.
I sent SWFA an email asking if they had any idea how long I would have to wait, but got no reply from them. I waited several days for a reply but got none so I called today and cancelled my order. I don’t like to be ignored by companies I am trying to buy from.

So, as soon as I find someone who actually has these in stock, I’ll buy one and let you guys know what I think of it.

Thanks! I appreciate the tip.
I asked Midway to send me a notification when they arrive.
I'm going to get the Nikoplex reticle model.

Im glad I ran across this forum lol. I literally just got off the phone with Nikon because I needed them to explain how to use the M-308 with the Nikoplex reticle on their Spot on software since I wont be using the 168gr the scope is intended for. Either way the guy was like well sir I dont know how your gonna buy that scope its not released yet and I was like sure it is, its already sitting in my cart on the SWFA site, and boy I must have looked like an idiot. So Bottom Gun, thanks for the heads up. That is a dick move on SWFA's part though, I was super stoked to get this scope to...looks like ill be waiting.
