Announcing DayzeeBook 4473!

Features that are being focused upon
-electronic e4473
-electronic NICS check
-a/d book
-inventory
-unlimited "books"
-true N of attachments to each record
-true full atf compliancy out of the box
-easier data entry
-free forum
-free support
-free database importation
-standardized GUI
-open database
-provided schema
-multi windowed, no processes can be minimized and other functions used while waiting on other window/task
-gunshow

A few years ago I bought into AimiBook which is/was great software, it had great features etc. But after using it for some time, it has come to my attention that even though they SAY its ATF COMPLIANT, its NOT. Also the company has now gotten rid of their "free" forum support and moved to a PAID ONLY support structure. This is my solution.

At the moment the software is still being written, I want advice, feature requests, alpha/beta users.

At the moment, features that are coded and working
-"books" management
-rudimentry user management, user login works, but no levels of authenticity yet
-aquisition management
-e4473 management 40% (wanting feedback as to best method to code for customer's input)
-customer/dealer management (50%)
-"master" tables

More information will be provided soon, website coming, more details etc. At moment Im working on this about 10-15 hours per week

Feedback appreciated.

Never heard of Aimibook before this post. I tend to shy...make that RUN...from technology. Until it slaps me in the face. After 4 years i am "considering" going electronic. Still have not enrolled for E-NICS yet. Yes for some reason it appears i like making my job harder :) Actually it was a cost issue. the few software based options i looked at were waaaay to big for the volumes i turn, yes it would have been productive, but the ROI just wasn't there

New to the whole FFL thing and I am looking for quality software such as this.

I am very computer savvy. The trouble I am running into is software that is modernized at all. Most say windows XP, some go as far as 32bit windows vista or 7....I run a 64 bit windows 7 system. So that is my request. Software to run on even the most modern systems.

enroll into e-nics.. Even if you dont use computerized software for your a/d books, you have the ability to login into NICS via a web browser and do your background checks that way versus the phone. it is SOOO much easier.

you can also log in daily (or whatever) to check update statuses of your delays instead of having to call in, majorly helpful.

the software packages, will integrate with e-nics and will auto-do the checks which is awesome! (mine will do this too, a must for me at least)

I bought into Aimibook which was great software but at $1500 buy in and now NO free support, wont fix simple bugs, cant add simple requests.. And before you think Im cheap, I dont MIND paying for support, but if the software crashes and/or has bugs, why should I pay you to fix it if it wasnt right in the beginning?

Most prolly dont know my background, but I am from a linux/gpl mentality. If you dont know what what im talking about google "gpl".

Well again Ive been using Aimibook, its good but has issues. Ive been looking for replacements and found a few but the inexpensive ones werent full featured, and the expensive ones still lacked. I found a guy down in tucson somewhere that did a REALLY nice online e4473 a/d book but it was via online/web only and while thats nice for certain applications, I just dont like that for sensitive information. In this case the information on a 4473 is ripe for identity theft.

Modern software, 32bit/64bit, ABSOLUTELY! Im working with a pharmacy NOW where they bought into some prescription software, and its ONLY 32bit. I built modern top of line server and had to load Windows 2k8 32bit (last 32bit server version to be released) and had to downgrade the windows 7 machines to 32bit cause software wont run. This also, is NOT CHEAP software, so far they are into it for like $20k (yes thousand) and its still doesnt have all the "modules/features" bought. Again for those in the know (or dont believe that I know what Im talking about) lookup QS1 & RNA Health (2 biggest pharmacy software packages).

That being said, it'll be avail in both bits, I'm actually unsure of the exact process of compiling for both, but I cant imagine its drastically different to compile for both bits.
