I never really tested out a fairly new Glock 42 before putting a Stike industries +2 mag extension on it.
With the 8 rounds of Hornady XTP in there, the top one is really hard to chamber, and sometimes jams. Should I shave some material off the follower, and give it some more room when fully loaded?, or should I just put the original base back on and send it back to Glock?
I've heard there are gen 3 replacement for some parts for this already.
But an Internet search doesn't turn up my specific problem, just a bunch of cramp with other factory gen 1 parts.
There must be a Glock officianado out there who is well versed in this.

Replace the extension with the original follower. Test. When you have a glock with aftermarket parts choking its generally a safe bet that it is caused by the aftermarket parts.

If it still chokes with the original follower then you know your answer.

Here's what I used with no issue.

Ghost Inc. Mag Extension Black Mag Extension GLK 42 GHO_42_MINIMED

I'd be happy to share you both of my mags (one stock, 1 with above installed) if you'd like to see if any issues whatsoever.

Hmmmm
Interesting, it comes with a spring too
The Strike on is impressive, it has the same stipple pattern, and keeps the frame flow nicely

Only nice if it works. My advice is always test the base gun and mags as is first. If it runs do not add anything! If you feel
The urge to tinker go forward but do so testing the gun after each mod so if it stops working you can back trace your steps.
