Trying to weld a broken tang on a Stevens Favorite falling block tang but not having any luck. What kind of metal is this and what would you use to weld it?

Come on ladies, doesn't anybody know anything? 71 people looking at my posting and nobody responds, why are even bother looking if you know nothing about welding. The title says it all.

Well I know quite a bit about welding but Im not sure what the material is I have looked at pictures not sure can you take a picture. Your probably going to have to tig it and start with a rod like ER70S6 and argon gas to not overpentrate.

you need to have it tig welded shouldnt cost you to much
