Where are the best prices for ammo in Tucson? I've hit a couple and their prices were way high.

I need to find a place in Tucson for ammo since I don't want to make too many trips up to Phoenix for ammo.

I am in the same boat, Wally World seems to be the best so far that I have found. Some times Sportsmans if you buy over $100 and use their coupon.

www.google.com

I've checked some prices via ammoseek.com and can always find a better price just by googling....make sure you follow through to shipping charges....the difference is often drastic, especially when shipping heavy ammo

Do any of the Walmarts in Tucson carry .223 because the last time I checked they only have the steel cased junk.

I was at Ina/LaCholla yesterday and they only had Tula 223, person at the counter said they have not had it there or even at the warehoouse for a while.
They did not know when they might get more.

Lately I have been checking at Walmart and they have been out of all .223. Bulk pack included. I think the buying frenzy has started and it is affecting the stocking of .223. Haven't been able to find .45 either. For awhile Walmart was out of .22, 9mm, and .40. PR

I think,... with the USA ammo manufacturers facing drastic reductions in Government 223 ammo purchases, caused by troop reduction going on in the mid-east and further reductions expected in the near future,... they could be holding back stock in order to facilitate retailer wishes of creating PANIC BUYING !!!

I have seen BS ammo sale specials over the past year, in some catalogs I get,... but not worth getting excited about. Obviously most buyers didn't fall for that crap either and suppliers may now have decided to control the "SUPPLY" side of "SUPPLY and DEMAND", effecting sales/prices.

that's all,
leverman

The Armory on Pima has 500 rds of Federal xm193 for 172.95 which works out to be 37.5 cents per round. They also sell in 20rd packages for like $6 something

I haven't found any place in town (Tucson) to buy bulk quantities of ammo at good prices. I usually just order it via ammoman.com or grab some from unammo when I'm in the Phx metro area.. Cheap .223 is normally 35-37 cents per round and I don't have to drive.. it just shows up at the house.

It is rare that I ever buy < 1000 rounds at a time though.

I do stop and check for ammo if I ever find myself in walmart but I don't go there often.. Even less so thanks to amazon.com and me working from home. I have to actually drive almost 30 miles to get to the closest walmart.
