Has anyone used the Federal American Eagle Syntec ammunition? PSA has it on sale for 99.00 for 500 rounds of 9mm with a mail in rebate for up to 50.00. I have never seen it before, figured it was worth a look at that price. I would be worried that it would melt in the barrel. The literature i have found claims this not to be an issue. Just curious if anyone has used it and what the results were.

Everything I have read about it says that is excellent ammunition. However, I read the fine print on the rebate to say the limit of the rebate is $5 per qualifying product. If that is as I understand, one would have to buy 10 different kinds of ammo to get $50 back. Still a pretty good deal.

I use it, no issues at all. PSA has it at $99.99 with the $25 rebate. $7.49 a box is good.

I have another two cases coming in next week.

I shot up a box and it was pretty much a non event. I didn't see anything significant either good or bad.

No, you will get $25.00 (25% rebate) back for buying a case of 10 boxes. I bought 2 case (1000 rounds) and got the $50.00 limit per house hold.

I bought a can (350 rounds). Went to the website for the rebate and was told the bar code did not qualify. Submitted it by mail and will see how it goes.

Holy cow, I use Bullseye powder, which is a bit on the dirty side, and my cases are a ton cleaner than that.

What ammo was that in the blackened case?

Correction: It is Herters Select Grade 9mm.
