I'm lazy. Don't like to change things if they require the slightest bit of labor.

I load my small primed cases on my Dillon 650.

Load .45 ACP, and .44 Mag on my Hornady LNL

I have the Hornady powder measure all set up for .45's.

Trying to set up the RCBS with the powder-through expander. Have it all set-up, but a CANNOT get any bell to the case mouth at all.

Tried balancing a bullet up there by hand, but it's shaving the plating off. I need some bell.

If I lower the unit further into the die, it runs the measure up too far, to where it hits on the top, and it doesn't make any difference anyway. Still NO bell.

Called RCBS today. After being on hold for a full 20 minutes, I spoke with a very nice lady who tried to help me out.

When she told me that I needed to use the pistol bushing on top of the .44 caliber powder through expander, I knew that she didn't have the slightest idea what she was talking about.

Back to square one here
