Any of you doing this? Im considering trimming and resizing 243win brass into 6.5 creedmoor as creedmoor brass is so expensive.
I know it can easily be done and you don't have to do anything other than trim the 243 and then run it in a FL 6.5 creedmoor die.

just wondering if any of you do this and how has your results been

Then in that case you want to resize .308 down to 6.5. It is the same parent case.

I have quite a bit of .243 reloads that are head stamped .308.

I don't know that it's going to be that easy. You have to push the entire shoulder down about 60 thousands. Might be easier to blow out a 22-250 case. In the early days of 6XC guys used to make 6XC cases out of 243. I don't remember it being "easy".

It can be done, I don't think its worth it when you can buy a 50 round bag of Hornady for just over $30 most places.

If brass is readily available then buy it. If you're a cheap-assed freight forwarder like me then either resize .308 or fire-form .243 or 22.-250. I would go the resize route myself.

Mike, Justin Zimmer used to resize 8mm Mauser to .30-06 and then "leave" the empties on the ground on the HP range. Was always good for a laugh when the brass whores would pick them up and have a "WTF" look on their face. Priceless.
