What does everyone think of these? I'm starting to really like the looks of them.

I tend to like Bul, but the Magnum Research imp- 1911A1 looks like a Taurus.

Its ok. The creep in the trigger makes it feel like its a 2 stage. But kinda gritty.

Really?

The Taurus looks like trash, and has a reputation to back it up.

Meaning "let's add everything at a cheap price" Stereotypical parts, cuts, etc...

Everywhere else, everyone says it's the best mid $600 1911. Up there along side the Remington R1.

I was just wondering if anyone here had one, or has tried one before.

They have not been out to long, but when/if I start seeing them on a regular basis I will give word. Like I said I like Bul, now see if IMI will cough one out.

Exactly, all they do is cause arguments when I teller newer shooters to spend the extra cash on a Colt or S&W, then they still buy the POS thinking they are saving money and after much frustration and extra cash spent, they run around and tell everyone how 1911s are awful.

The gun will out last you, is an extra $200 or $300 going to be the end of the world. Esp considering how much it costs to run the thing.

I love 1911's. Own a springfield GI. and an autoordnance GI. Niether one is a matchking although very reliable and accurate enough. Purchased a Kimber to get a better trigger and it was untill something inside broke. To keep it short they refunded the retail price of the crap. Proud new owner of a Desert Eagle 1911. Excellent for the price but only have about 200 rds. thru. BTW Springfield's and Autoordnance's slides and receivers are cast in Bazil. A buddy has a PT1911 and it is very high quality. You never know, with all the wetbacks working in the USA the same one might have assembled your Taurus, your Ruger (no 1911 but might account for their Prescott QC) [smilie=icon_idea.gif] , your Spingfield and then up to Colt?
