HK knows you want paddles and 3lug/threaded barrels...but tough shit.

"we'll make whatever crap we want, we'll laser mark because it's cheap, even tho you can't ever refinish the gun without wiping off that precious logo that makes our shitboxes cost 1000 dollars more than a shitbox done right...but *beep* you, you'll buy it....suckers!"

Or take it and have it marked properly like they used to do.

^ Yup, seen several that were redone with the old style parts in place and they look and function awesome. Me, I don't care. This is the only HK I ever bought as I am intrigued by the workings of the roller locked design. It is fun and accurate for what it is....a large 30 round car jacking defense pistol, lol.

Just got mine, brand new. Got a three lug threaded B&T barrel. Full auto carrier. Ready for a registered pack.

Edit. I ordered a paddle release and will install it sometime in January. Seems easy from the instructions.

^ Congratulations Liver , Merry Christmas right there!! Who did your barrel install? The paddle release looks very straight forward from what I saw on the video.
Re: the registered pack - does not the receiver shelf need modification for the sear or are you adding the semi auto trigger pack that was modified from FA? Just idle curiosity here as there are more and more cool mods for this coming out all the time.

HKParts offers a clipping and pinning service for any appropriate trigger housing ($50). Definitely modify the trigger housing, as it’s not serialized and at max is $150. If one was so inclined, you could get it stippled and such. It’s easily replaceable. Once it’s clipped and pinned, it’ll fit on the SP5K factory modified shelf. You can do this yourself, but I like clean lines, so I’d send it off.

I was thinking about getting a full auto housing and putting my semi auto pack in it for looks only (after clipper and pinned). This gun is a fun gun, will most likely never see any hard use.

I appreciate all the details you shared Liver. Yes, I have picked up some HP Parts bits and pieces as well. How about the B&T 3 lug barrel? Is it installed yet and if so may I ask who did the work, please? This is a very useful mod though my Uzi Mini currently fills this roll. Thanks for anything you might share.

Chris
