Surefire X400 Ultra LED Green?

Steiner SBAL-PL?

Crimson Trace, Viridian, and Streamlight products all looked like cheap crap to me.

I would rather cry once and get something extremely durable.
Surefire and Steiner are the choices I've come up with, unless there's something else I'm unaware of which is highly probable.
Your thoughts are greatly cherished.

Thanks

Make sure to get a Green Laser as Red is worthless in Arizona.

Have had 2 Viridians and both failed and customer support was nonexistent.

Currently run 4 Crimson Trace and they have been flawless of both center fire pistols and rifles. All are green lasers.

I have many Surefire lights yet have zero experience with their lasers.

IMHO you'll be happier with Crimson Trace greens. Better product and better customer service.

Green shows up best in the bright AZ daylight.

The only negative I am aware of is the use of green lasers in subfreezing conditions which is not a concern for me.

Thank you all. I will contact customer service at Steiner and Surefire and see how they respond.
My only concern with the Surefire is that it seems as if you may have to remove the unit from the rail to change batteries.

Why?

Though the sunrises and sunsets in Arizona are amazing, most of the time the spectrum of light in the dawn and dusk hours is filtered towards red. This makes a green laser contrast much more and a red much less during these hours of lower intensity natural light. Pure sunlight is is heavily cast in yellow, dawn and dusk you add in atmospheric dust and reflections from the reddish mountains and dirt in Arizona, and everything takes on a reddish brown/orange hue.
Red may be a better choice in Wisconsin for instance where the soil is black and everything is green in the summer, and in winter the sky is grey and the landscape is snow covered.
