I have just recently purchased a Ruger 10/22 tactical and I want to put a red dot optic on it. I don't know much about them and I am looking for pointers. An information will be greatly appreciated.

I have a KONUS Sight-Pro MR on mine and love it. It will fit on both Weaver and Picatinny rail systems. Amazon has it listed for just over $100 (not including shipping).

the vortex strikefire are pretty nice for their price point, If you want a smaller framed red dot the vortex SPARC is a realy nice red dot option.

I have had had a good experience with my aimpoint T-1 micro and 3x magnifier combination. My only complaint is that the dot can be a bit large, but with a 10/22, I don't imagine that you will be reaching out too far in excess of 100 yds. Good luck in your selection.

I agree thats an awsome combo but $$$$ its a very expensive setup for a ruger 10/22. But for a nice Ar it would put a t-1 and aimpoint magifier any day of the week.

Definitely not the cheapest route to go for sure. I picked mine up from Botach.com when they were doing a fire sale on the T1/3x combo. Supposedly some European military contract overun. I was skeptical, but as far as markings and features, both components passed the sniff test for authenticity. Probably a bit overkill for a 10/22, but hey, if you ever decide to venture into an AR platform, you will be good to go. Cheers!

If you don't want to spend the money for the Aimpoint micro, go with a primary arms micro dot. They are great, I swear by them. They also have magnifiers available.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned the burris Fast Fire, but that seems to be an cheap alternative that has some quality to it.

Thinking about putting that on my AK as a low profile piece to cowittness my iron sights to.

.308- because people have a strange tendency to get behind things when you start shooting at them.

I have had good luck with my Bushnell TRS-25, and they are $85 shipped on amazon. Can't beat it for the price.
