Not sure if it's been mentions but

Matt Seibert @ Insight Training in Prescott. Took their CCW class but they teach other classes as well. For the record though, I wasn't impressed.

A place that has not been listed that I've attended courses is Warriorschool in Tucson. The website is:

www.warriorschool.com

I've enjoyed their classes and they have taken some of the military contract courses they have and adapted them to civilians as well. I began to teach for them myself on the medical side (EMT courses and Tactical Medic courses). Look them up and take a look for quality training at a reasonable price. They have a lot of courses that I still want to take as a student myself.

I didn't know I wasn't on here. My training i based of defensive neasures, not just how to shoot a gun. It isn't hard to teach a person to shoot.... All they have to do is point a squeeze the trigger. We will train you with shot placement in mind. Come on out and try us!

We offer training in the following areas:

AZ CCW
Pistol Marksmanship 1
Beginning Handgun
Multi-target
Shotgun 101 Marksmanship

We are opening up to move private one on one/two people in 2011.

My wife, a former State Trooper and Federal Agent, and a multiple NRA Instructor, teaches a Ladies (only) introduction to handguns. She does this at our ranch in the White Mountains, where we have our own range. The class runs all day and includes lunch, training materials, and the chance to fire different types of handguns, all included in the price.

For more information, contact her at Lindapeo@wildblue.net

Guess I've never introduced my organization, Independence Training, so here it is. I am Glen Stilson and I own and operate Independece Training, based out of Prescott Valley.

Our courses include:
-Basic Handgun / AZ CCW
-Defensive Handgun
-Advanced Handgun
-Defensive Carbine
-Practical Shotgun
-Trauma First-Aid
-ASHI Medical Certifications (Wilderness First-Aid, First-Responder, and CPR/AED)
-IFAK Life-Saver (AZ POST course currently being taught to LE agencies around AZ)
-Women's Self-Defense
-Hand-to-Hand Survival
-Youth Safety and Marksmanship (currently being offered through high-schools in Northern AZ)
-Corporate Team-Building and Employee Enagagement Programs

Our training cadre is filled with instructors who have varied military, LEO, and civilian training backgrounds, and who specialize in personalized and one-on-one instruction.

Our courses are generally set up for private individuals and groups, and though we are based out of Prescott Valley, we travel extensively. We are available to travel to your location, and whether you choose to train at our location or yours, if you help us to organize a course then you may be able to train for free! Contact me or visit our website below for more info.

Joe Prawdzik, former LEO, combat experience in Vietnam, current hostage negotiator. He uses Ben Avery for range facilities. Very good for intro to intermediate level. His classes, other than CCW are typically 4 hours.

I looked at sixohigh and have a question. His class is 8 hours for half the cost of a CCW class at ADFT. Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Chip

STA Training Group. They offer a variety of classes for precision rifle, tactical first responder, and others. The instructors are supremely qualified to teach and are all Subject Matter Experts with real world operational experience in their areas. The prices are very affordable and they are located here in the valley.

I don't think I saw these guys listed. Anyone have any experience with AFI (Adaptive Firearms Institute)?

It's great that we have so many options in AZ.
