As others have said, are you hiding from animals or people. Blending and breaking up your outline, especially your head are key IMO. Here in AZ, I have had good luck with desert digital and multi-cam. I have to get all new gear too as I am not in much better shape and I will probably pick up both again as well. Some of hunting stuff works really nice as well, but I am cheap and am able to typically get the mil type stuff for less, unless it is end of season and then you can find smokin deals on hunting stuff.

I like King's Desert Shadow when I'm hunting (not my pic)-

But if you're trying to hide from people Multican or Desert MARPAT works great out here too. Multicam probably being the best.

They are a bit exotic (IE not that easy to get ahold of) but I have found both the german flektarn desert and the old school rhodesian are very good in our desert. The Rhodesian is especially good as a lot of south africa is scrub bush country and very similar to our terrain and coloration.

Up here in NAZ, in the sage, I find ACU to be pretty damn good.

I have used regular Army woodland camouflage (Old Army BDU's) and the 3-color desert BDU's for years. I don't like the really old 6-color or First Gulf War stuff we used to use. The white dots just don't blend in AZ or most deserts in the world in my opinion.

If your a broke 20's something guy, buy a used Woodland set. Maybe $40 buck or so for a set and your good to go all over Arizona.

The 3-color works good if your in a really dry, dead grass, areas too.

I have shot every coyote in this state predator calling wearing Military Woodland BDU's.

But like most have explained, use your head with camouflage and watch the face, hands, neck, glasses......

Stuff leaves, small branches.... or the same foliage around you in pockets. Camouflage is an art and hard to do.

Thats my 2 cents worth of knowledge. :)

I have found depending on time of year and where meaning what desert can make a mild difference.
Most of the time I use a faded Realtree ap or hardwood. I have had guys look dead at me and not see me.

Eh, I suck at the wheres waldo games but that guy was easier than shit to spot. the old woodland camo has worked well for me since I was a young pup trying to smoke coyotes.
