Has anybody purchased the .308 compact 50 round drum for the FAL by Xs-Products?

Pricey indeed. I can get a lot of standard 20 rounders for that price.

I can't wait for the video of someone bumpfiring $100 of 7.62 out of an FAL.

50rds of .308? It must weigh a ton. Great for a range, not so good for practical use.

Unless you know you are about to assault into someplace where the opponents are likely wearing body armor,...and have the thing loaded up with AP rounds. Or you are preparing to repel such dudes from entering your own building. Then you'd wish it was belt-fed.

I want one...I've been wondering if anybody was going to come out with these.

But alas, some girly men don't have the strength to hold up this much lead. They should stick to 10/22s and ARs as to not tire their forearms. [smilie=icon_lol.gif]

One of our regular third Saturday night shooters has warned me that he's getting one.... [smilie=icon_rolleyes.gif] my rifle targets are cringing, as he has a HB FAL with bipod and likes to lie down and torture our steel. [smilie=icon_twisted.gif] We'll see how it runs.

Ghetto, very ghetto.

Goes well with the lazer designator, 8-24 X 50 scope, SAW buttstock, and Harris bi-pod.

I bought one and ended up returning it. The add said "some modification required" so I thought they meant that the issue pertained to magwell fit. Ends up you have to nueter your FAL's ability to have a bolt hold open on the last round... No likey. The thing that angered me was(at the time) I went to the manufacturer's website and they were not upfront about what the modification was... if I knew that it meant deactivating the bolt hold open... would not have wasted my time.

Like the HK version, the extra weight shouldn't be to much of a problem if you can scrimp in other areas.

Ditto, the FAL itself isn't exactly light, the last thing I'd want is a couple more pounds to lug around.
