I've had many requests from members of the Arizona Gun Owners group who live in Southern Arizona to help organize an Open Carry Dinner in Tucson. I plan to drive down there myself & hit a gun range sometime before the dinner. Eric Shelton of the Handgun Podcast plans to be there as well and will be mentioning the dinner on his podcast. Fridays are out for Eric due to his current work schedule, and Sundays are out for me due to my Sunday schedule, so I'm only listing Saturday options.

Please only participate in the vote if you plan to try to attend on the time & location you vote for.

Pick 1 location, 1 date, and 1 time.

Please do me a HUGE favor & avoid discussions of what size gun is best or whether Open Carry is tactically or politically advantageous. Anyone who wishes to discuss those topics can do so in a separate thread. I'd prefer to keep this thread on discussions of the fun those of us who go will be having.

Thanks :)

No, dates in poll are correct, I believe you're looking at a June calendar.

I actually can't attend in Tucson in Aug myself, but I am hoping someone will organize an August Tucson event as a separate poll.

Dustin,

Isn't there a golden coral there as well? You should put that one up as the choices.

Excellent idea, thanks. I've added them to the poll. Poll is re-set, so those who have voted need to vote again.

I know the manager at the Golden Corral on 22nd, if you want to add that location.

Their food tends to be better, and it is a very central location.

Let me know.

If we get enough response, we could probably do both.

I am in for doing both! [smilie=anim_beer.gif]

It would be great to see more shooters showing up for Tucson dinners and getting it going down there as well.
Eventually, maybe even have Phoenix and Tucson dinners the same night.

Don't see the Midvale Plaza Golden Corral listed, and I'll be out of state for most of July (may be back in time for the 25th, or not), but definitely up for August.

I voted and I will attend no matter when or where. I look forward to meeting many like minded individuals. Would anyone be interested in meeting at Tucson Rifle Club prior to lunch/dinner for a little shooting? If so, let me know and I will check the schedule and see if I can't reserve a range for us if there are enough people interested.

I've OC at Golden Corral on 22nd on many occasions, so it appears OC is accepted there. There is an back room area, although not fully enclosed like the Phoenix GC locations. At any rate, July 18, 6pm works best for me.

FYI, within several days, I plan to contact manager at I-HOP on Grant/Rosemont for possible OC brunch meet on a Saturday at around noon in late June/early July.

Will update when all facts are known.... 8)
