Why would a Walmart stop selling guns? We had a Walmart - sold guns all the time. They moved, and sold guns there for almost a year and then stopped. They still sell ammo and accessories. No one here seems to have an answer.

Because there is very little profit in selling guns on a profit/sq-ft basis. Some places might sell one or two guns a day, and at a profit of about $10 a gun that's a lot of store real estate that could be selling stuff that makes more money.

Ammo on the other hand, is a high-turnover, reasonably high volume, money maker.

Walmart tailors their product selection to the market. If I have 4 walmarts in a 5 mile radius, someone who wants to buy a firearm is generally willing to drive an extra mile and a half to one that has firearms. In AK and parts of ID Walmart sells reloading supplies, but you never see that down here.

Really? That must be recent because I bought my rifle there not too long ago.

I have a feeling it's because all those 22lr's and lever actions were ending up in the hands of the mexican drug cartels... LMAO...
