I understand that there is a range near Casa Grande, does anyone know what days and hours it is open and what it costs to shoot there?

Thanks

7 days a week from dusk till dawn. No range master.

One of my favorite stops. Just clean up your targets after your done. Gets windy in the afternoon this time of year in the afternoon though.

PS: No charge

The street address does not showup on Google maps, but it's "2766 S. Isom Rd"
Not hard to find when you get out there.

rules say no 50 cal and no exploding targets. I have seen plenty of 50 cals there, they really don't enforce that one, but they do not respond well to Tannerite and similar products. The LEO range is out there as well just up the road, only time I have ever in 9 years see anyone come over was one someone was using tannerite, and they were using ALOT of it.

It is a nice range, has covered spots, main range goes out 300 yards or so, some shorter side ranges are good for intermediate and pistol shooting.

From CG, go south on Trekkel Rd. Cross I-8. (from I-8, get off at the Trekkel Rd. exit and go south). Go about 1.5 miles. There is a green sign there with white letters that says Trap Range. Turn left there (you can't go right). Drive to the end, about 3/4 mile. At the "T" intersection, turn right. go about 3/10 mile. CGPD range is on the left. Just past that is the entrance to the public range. Bring your own targets and target holders. Some sandbags are a good idea, since it's windy and your holder will blow over. Bring tape, staple gun, and targets, etc. Bring a shooting rest/bag if you need one. Bring a chair or stool. Benches are there, but without seats. Bring ear protection. Nothing there is provided.

open at 7am. Dawn would be better but I understand there is a state law for ranges to not shoot before 7am.

its called the "elsy pearson" range i believe. been going there for years. there used to not be a fence/awnings on the other small ranges, it has come a long way. there used to always be shit laying all over the range like washing machines and propane tanks. still some of that from time to time, but hey, who can complain about a free target :)

I like it since there are no range nazis. That being said, what you pack in, pack it back out- there are trash cans for all the waste. Keep it clean.

Love that metal plate at 310 meters.
