Any word on getting AzDPS to allow NV LEOs acces to AZ CCW data?

Is there a drawback to allowing access that we might need to be concerned with?

Pretty sure NV is not going to give up the tourism dollars and start allowing CCW's from neighboring states. I spent probably $300 in Vegas over two nights to do my NV CCW class. And I'm a total cheapskate and the class was free then. They want people coming to NV for this.

Nevada Has a preemption law. No City or town shall make their own regulations on firearms laws.

Interesting, since every Nevada resident I know, esp those who teach firearms / CCW stuff there, say that the state preemption law doesn't apply to NLV or BC. They also report that nobody has bothered to challenge those laws in court, either. Funny thing...The Man has unlimited time and funds to prove a point. Most people do not.

Isn't that because NLV and BC had their laws in place before the NV state preemption? I may be way off, but I thought I had heard that being the reason it is how it is there... :s

I don't know about NLV, but BC had their gun laws on the books back in the day when it was a settlement for the Hoover Dam workers. The irony is those laws also exempt BC from Clark County's handgun registration law.

FWIW, I called the BC and NLV poilice departments and asked if my CCW from AZ is valid in their cities, and they both told me "yes".
