Recently had to travel to the Maricopa County Court, noticed a bunch of no "weapons" signs. When I asked about storage of a firearm (I didn't bring mine that day, thank f***.) I was told they will NOT allow anyone to bring a weapon in, and they will NOT store them in their lockers.

They played dumb when I asked about http://www.azleg.gov/ars/13/03102-01.htm...

So my question is, what sort of recourse does one have in regards to this? Do courts no longer apply to public buildings?

Wow. News to me. I've been there many times, and put my gun in the gun locker, but not recently. This must be something new.
Did you go through the main entrance on the north side, and not the jurors' entrance on the east side?

There's a law on the books, not in the area that says they have to provide you with secure weapons storage, that says they don't have to provide secure weapons storage.
I remember these two contradicting laws specifically being brought up in an armed refresher course, but I can't tell you where.

The key statutes are:

ARS 13-3102 A-10
http://www.azleg.gov/viewdocument/?docName=http://www.azleg.gov/ars/13/03102.htm

and

ARS 13-3102.01
http://www.azleg.gov/ars/13/03102-01.htm

I think the issue is with 13-3102-01 C

C. The operator of the establishment or the sponsor of the event or the employee of the operator or sponsor or the agent of the sponsor, including a public entity or public employee, is not liable for acts or omissions pursuant to this section unless the operator, sponsor, employee or agent intended to cause injury or was grossly negligent.

How do you prove That Maricopa County courts "intend to cause injury" or were "grossly negligent"?
