I have reworked the class to be a lot different from the previous classes I have done. I have done away with paper targets and now use an all steel plate & reactive plate system.
This AZ CCW/Firearms class, along with our CCW handbook will get you started in defensive handgun mindset!
Carrying a handgun for defensive purposes you need to understand the following steps:
2. Weapons manipulation.
I have always thought and taught this way, The course will now hold even more value to the student!

As an FYI, we are going to go to start requiring .380 or larger caliber for the firearms qualification now. The simple reason is there is a lot of junk coming out to the classes. Example: guns that barely work or don't function with any reliability at all and/or the gun can only hold 5 rounds in a mag and the person only has 1 mag. The issues mentioned are eating up a lot of time on the line and it is not fair to the people that bring reliable guns. This is a self defense class and it should be and will be treated that way. Just remember you are taking the class to save your life (or someone else) so bring a reliable guns to maximize your training effort
