Please refer to OTGD rule #2. Keep the assassination/rebellion fantasies off AZS, as they are illegal.

Okay, in your text you ask about just 1 drink and the thread title says drunk so anyway.

Is it legal? Yes.

Is it smart? No, absolutely not.

No, nobody's gonna post a law because the law only says what you can't do, not what you can do. Everything not expressly prohibited is legal.

You're wrong. There is no law in Arizona that discusses BAC and firearm possession.

It should be illegal for Tim to wear that thong while carrying.

Sayeth he who hasn't experienced Ranger_SXT on a windy Kilt wearing day shooting prone at ACTS. [smilie=icon_lol.gif]

There are worse things in this world than just a thong.

i'll now wait for you to explain why the reasons we feel the need to carry a firearm magically go away when one drinks alcohol.

They don't go away. Neither does the reason for driving your car.

Hmmmm,... obviously there is no law restricting carry while under the influence,... as it should be.

And, if one enjoys an alcohol high while carrying, without breaking a law before sobering up,... one should have no problems with law enforcement.

Obviously, for SOME of us, this is like walking a tite-rope that eventually may end poorly.

while ya might think what you said is witty, i don't believe you can seriously equate the "need" to drive a car to the need to defend yourself.

You've got something in your hand that can alter one's life in an instant. Alcohol impairs judgement. If you get drunk and shoot some fool in "self defense" I guarantee you that you will have a VERY hard time getting that shooting justified. And in civil court...forget it, you're going to lose big time. Witness's testimony get tossed out all the time if they are drunk/high whatever and if it doesn't the jury isn't going to give it much weight because they were under the influence. And that's if they witness a crime. Imagine if the defendant is drunk.

No, your need to defend yourself doesn't "go away" when you're drunk. In fact, it probably goes up when you start running your mouth. That being said, you don't NEED to get drunk either.

death or a lawsuit? i'll take a lawsuit.

you may run your mouth or be unsafe when you've been drinking, but you needn't transfer your insecurities to others.

I tend to chose sobriety when carrying a firearm.
