I wonder if AZ-Husker will park at the DPS, walk over, and crawl the parking lot looking for deals?

That's funny coming from someone whose member name is "akapennypincher"
He got a good deal yesterday. He bought the Glock 21 SF off this board from Nimrag yesterday. But only after he gave me a good deal on his Glock 21 Gen 4 for $475.

I may go this year just for entertainment purposes. Been awhile since I last saw way overpriced Garands that weren't safe to shoot that the seller swore up and down they were "certified by Duff" yet they couldn't produce the letter.

In past years there have been deals at the SAR. By private sellers looking to sell stuff to buy more stuff, or in need of holiday money.

Also the SAR Review building has some displays always that are cool if you enjoy looking at collections of military items & firearms.

Last there are vendors who come to the SAR because it is the biggest show. This is the only show were they come to show, sell, or take orders for things.

Last it is the opportunity to look at things you are considering buying, and buy. Or deciding you want the items, so now you return home to shop for the best price on line.

I have a FREE PASS, so I will not cry about the price to park. I have money this year to buy any thing i need, and will bargain shop per the norm being a frugal fellow.

The SAR show rocks...particularly the SAR side. Deals abound if you look hard enough......end of transmission.

I am well versed on the activities of the SAR Show and that is one of the reasons I do go. However, in fairness, and unless things have changed the past few years, I've also noticed the vendor attendance has been down and some of the displays no longer of the caliber they were say pre-Nov. 2008.

Yes, I will likely pick up a few good deals should I go. I usually do. But I also know I won't be disappointed by the usual litany of idiots.

I'm still tempted to take my Correct Grade IHC Garand for a walk around the show just to see how many ridiculous low-ball offers I get for it. That alone would be worth the price of admission and parking.

Hey, .308guy, give me a call. Let's go this weekend.

Yeah, the hey-day of SAR and Knob Creek is long long past....but, on an up note, I will have a table of odds and ends in the SAR side. I am among the few that has had a SAR table every year they have had the show...

Stop by and say hi John, been a while. Depending on Debbie Shea's mood, I am usually the first table along the wall at the end of the booths...

I've noticed that while attendance is down, the amount of people with personal hygiene problems is also down considerably.

Perhaps the people who are hygiene challenged are also too cheap to go to the shows.....I know they're too cheap to buy soap.

This will be my first time going. It's been about 2 years since I've gone to any gun show, but I've heard so much about SAR in the past and since I have the free time this weekend I will probably go all three days if it turns out to be worth it.

If anyone goes today please report in. I am off to the Carl T Haden Center for a day of testing.
