Well shit!! As per the map EAST side of Beeline going to Four peaks is off limit for shooting. But looking close it's south of the trail going to four peaks and part of this main trail. North of the main trail is OKAY to shoot..

Probably, as long as irresponsible shooters leave the trash and practice stupidity, the areas to shoot in will get smaller and smaller.
The volunteers filled three 40yd dumpsters with shooter trash yesterday,
Doesn't matter if you're a responsible shooter, you are guilty by association.
Its only a matter of time before they make it illegal to shoot anywhere in the desert, mostly due to idiots thinking nature will clean its self.

Four Peaks is a wildlife area. No target shooting allowed...mainly for hunting

It is only no target shooting to the south of the road coming in. See the map in the earlier post. The problem with to the north is that it is fenced off for "wilderness restoral", whatever that means. (Basicly, we don't want you in there and putting up barbed wire fence is the easiest method that we have) Sorry for the sinicism, but with the current head of the Tonto ranger district, I have a hard time to believe otherwise. Anyway, I understand that everyone needs a sandbox to play in, I just wish that mine wasn't always the one that gets taken away and I have to go further and further out to get another one.

i just went out to four peaks to go shoot last weekend. The signs are only applicable to the areas conjested with off road riding. if you go farther back you can shoot. just please check the area and make sure its safe. it is getting harder to find a spot to shoot because most of the shooting spots are filled by 10:00 am. so if you want a spot you have to leave a little earlier and you should be good. we went back pretty far. almost at the point you start going up the mountain more. we went to three different spots and cleaned them up and anyone else who is going shooting out there please pick up your trash and pick up something that you didn't bring so we can clean it up and keep it open.

P.S. I would not park your vehicles behind the fences that are torn down, because they are off limits to motorized vehicles. doing this will bring unwanted attention or a a hefty fine.

Thats why I quit shooting there a few years back...to many people.ATVs,campers, and shooters.I can't tell you my new spot,sorry...don't ask.
