My son and his friend were biking near Tatum and Shea in Phoenix by paradise valley. They parked the bike outside of a Walgreen's. It is a specialized 29er rockhopper orange in color. Distinct accessories are hand pump are attached to the frame and a broken rear light. Any info would be appreciated. Police report has been filed.

There was a story on the news recently about a Facebook page dedicated to finding stolen bikes.

I think it was on 3TV News...if I can find the link I will post it up.

I thought it was the "Phoenx Area Stolen Bike Registry" (PASBR) but that page is not up currently.

In the meantime, this might give you some ideas: http://www.bicycling.com/culture/advoca ... -bike-back

Very true, those guys are always on the look out, they even post random pictures of people with bikes and those on sale at pawn shops/craigslist and ask if they were stolen

Man, that's a tough lesson to learn. Unfortunately we all know these days you have to lock down everything, some people in this world are a real POS and will steal stuff just for the thrill of it.

When I was a kid we could park our bikes outside the local party store, go inside for a Coke and not worry about them disappearing. Nowadays if I bike up to the store on my Diamondback 29er, I walk it in with me. Never let it out of my sight.

Hope he gets it back.
