While we were at the open carry dinner. Stuff happened here.

Our friend Troy, was here working on a gun of his. He said he and Ed had been on the back porch, BSing and watching Youtube vids. Troy wanted to hang out more. Ed said he had to "go be with the old lady". Troy said Ed gave no indication that they had been fighting or had had any issues.

We found receipts totalling almost 200 dollars where Ed had bought her makeup, a tarot deck and some sex stuff at Castle. When Troy went to Ed's room and knocked on the door, Ed said he was naked and would get dressed and come out. They chatted for 20-30 mins. Ed told Troy. "Tonight is Trystan's last night in AZ, she's going to some beauty school in Utah. I think she is leaving just to punish me for trying so hard to make her a better person. I think she hates me for it. Says she's sick of me "judging her" and her drug use all the time."

8:35pm Troy leaves.

Eric says that Ed came back in...went to his room. Closed the door hard. Not too long after that, Eric heard two pops. Eric said there were sounds for a couple minutes after the pops that sounded like struggling or physical exertion.

Eric went back to the room and yelled through the door "What the fk is going on in there?" and could hear Trystan breathing heavily. He said he didn't hear a death rattle or any other sounds other than her breathing. He said the pops did not sound like gunshots.

Eric says that 5 minutes or so later, Trystan comes out of the bedroom covered in blood. We didn't know this but she had a gunshot wound in the face, entering into her nasal cavity, according to her father's posts on FB. The .38 projo travelled under her skin, almost exiting under her left ear. Her sceptum piercing was blown out. Her face was swollen, which is why we thought he had "raged out" on her (finally) and had hit her. Apparently this was not the case, because the fkn cops didn't tell us she was shot. They actually won't tell us anything. As far as we know she's still in the hospital and we don't know which one.

Eric says that Trystan went into the bathroom, stared at the mirror in the dark for a few minutes, then turned on the light and started washing off the blood.

Eric went back to Ed's room and found Ed laying on his right side, back against the wall, feet across the doorway. Eric got on the phone with 911. 911 told Eric to remove the revolver away from Ed a little bit and to touch it as little as possible. Eric said Ed's hand (we don't know which one) was resting on top of the revolver. Ed was a right-handed shooter. The ME told me that Ed had a single GSW behind the right ear. How far back or behind I have no idea yet. We don't have a report yet.

8:50pm (approx) We, Me, Dawn, Kingjoey and his young son literally walked in at that point. Eric was shaking and imploring me not to go to the bedroom. I pushed past him, saw Trystan sitting on the couch, blood was smeared on the couch and her face was swollen.

She looked dazed and drugged out. Stunned.

I went back to the room and found my boy. He was still warm. I started to yell and freak out. It looked like he was sleeping. There wasn't much blood. The position he was in didn't look natural. He had shorts and socks and a shirt on. My mind was trying to process what I was seeing. There was black lesbian porn on the TV. Yes, really. The boy had tastes different than mine.

I kept trying to rouse him. Hoping this was the worst fkn joke ever.

I went back out to the living room and started to shriek at Trystan, the Gilbert PD showed up about that time, but I was losing it and took my Shield off and tossed it across the room because all I could think about at that moment was putting a .45 through her face.

They started CPR but called him at 9:05pm.

She said "I didn't put this on me, your son put his on me" and I lost it and the cops separated me to the dining room. I was screaming that she was a destroyer of worlds and fkn evil, horrible person.

Everytime I think I'm outta tears a bunch more keep coming. Right now the MCSO is still investigating. I know there are people who think this is gauche to even write but I have to do something. I have to try to keep busy. I would never wish this emptiness and hopelessness on another human being...not even my worst fkn enemy.

If you can help at all I'd appreciate it. We're not rich people and I have a 20k bill from the funeral home I have to pay for today. In addition to all that. Everythings free or cheap here. I just want out of this house and am leaving to go somewhere. I dunno where yet.

Thank you friends, enemies, customers and everyone. Hug your kid today. Hug them hard and love them more than you did yesterday. You never want to experience this.

Update Sunday 5/28. The authorities allowed her to leave the hospital and go back to AL.

D.

Derek I am so sorry for your loss. You feel free to post all you need to, sometimes getting it out can help. I totally understand you wanting to move..... I would too. I hope as each day goes by the pain is a little less, I can't even start to imagine what you are going through.

I understand the feelings of helplessness/hopelessness. Try not to make rash decisions that will continue to hurt when the grief starts to subside.

You have always lived online and never hid from any truth. In all honesty I wish more people would be candid and honest as you are. If anyone knows you the keyboard is your most trusted outlet that has the ability to temper your overtly passionate oratory skills. Heck write paragraphs and pages here is you have to. One thing you put out there may be inspiration or just a reason for another person to take one more step forward.

A horrendous tragedy has fallen on your family that no one would wish on the their most vile enemy. Nothing will be remotely clear for a long time. The hardest things to do is go back to basic decisions. Start with the little things you have to do to survive. Eat, sleep, cry, get angry, and what ever else you can just do. There is no road map to shit like this.

You have a large swath of people that you have treated in your signature style that regardless of opinion or belief they respect you and ultimately care. Lean on every last one of them. Somehow in some way a path forward will be forged.

Man I'm so sorry.

This is the first time that I checked in here awhile...I am so sorry that this has happened to your family Derek, and I cannot comprehend how deep this loss must be to you. I will pray for you to be strengthened going forward. [smilie=icon_cry.gif]

Very well said. Derek pounds, we read, and life goes on. We're all brothers here, all suffering from that glorious GAS addiction. We can help each other heal! Lean on us, Derek....

I've met you twice, both on business, and you always struck me a solid guy. I'm praying for you, your son's spirit, and even the soul of the woman at the center of this. I don't have much else to offer, but the prayers will continue to be inbound. Wherever you go, seek peace.
