Got a 45 today from Palmetto, Tree-Fiddy and free ship.

Plus 75 dollar rebate.

Pretty sweet.

The stippling on the 45 shields is awesome! Everybody should buy one, $75 off is phenomenal.

277 after rebate. Meanwhile I'm looking at 30 year old 5906s that I'll actually never carry and the Dbags want 500-600 bucks each for them. In mediocre condition...for a mediocre pistol.

Sophistry.

I love original vundernines. But somewhere in the last few years first and second Gen went from 350 to nearly double. Mom has a shield and I like it. Gonna get one cause the price whips the crap outta 43s.

I like Glocks and own a few, but when Glock came out with the 42, then the 43 and priced it like it was the "king of subcompacts" ...ok slight exaggeration but the price was no where near competitive to the Shield and now with SW rebate forgettaboutit!! Glock can go and ...themselves and I'm somewhat of a Glock fanboy. They remind me of an Apple product, a little behind yet priced over current market cause of their great brand recognition. To which I say they can go ....themselves too.

The M&P Shield was priced at where the Glock 43 is now, and they sold a ton of them. When the 43 came out, the Shields sales went down dramatically. They have dropped in price substantially, and with the rebate, have stimulated sales. Smart move on S&W's part.

You won't ever see Glock dropping prices and/or offering a rebate of any kind

If this was just blatantly off-topic, I wouldn't have done anything, but you put it in the classified ads...

I'm in the market for another pistol; which model is this (I haven't kept up with S&W)?

They quickly make up any loss on the accessories you purchase for it. How many mags are you guys buying? :p

I saw sportsmans had the 45 with night sights and 3 mags for 344 after rebate.
Is that worth it?

WRM, I bought the 45 Shield/without manual safety. Already had the 9 Shield for 4 years.

Yes, that is a good price and you should take advantage of it
