Google has been lukewarm on guns for a long time, only mildly tolerating sites like AZS. With their recent de-listing of guns from their shopping search and more aggressive anti-gun moves, I think its time we went with a different secondary ad provider.

I just want everyone to be aware that we are working toward that goal, but it may take some time to find a suitable replacement. We would obviously appreciate if you did not boycott the google ads that appear on this site, at least in the meantime.

In any case we intend to keep the ads small and unobtrusive as they are now. If anybody has any input or suggestions we would be happy to hear them. Also, feel free to complain about the unfathomable riches we accumulate with advertising and how we should operate the site at a loss (I really love hearing it).

Glad to see the move, thanks for being proactive and working to support the right people.

Thank-you for hosting this site, it's a valuable resource for shooters in AZ everywhere. Keep up the great work.

And thanks to adblock addons I will never see the difference.

I've seen this place on other browsers with ads and it isnt too bad at all.
I know it takes cash to keep places running but damn some sites are like 90% ad space, 9% frill, and 1% content these days. [smilie=icon_rolleyes.gif]

We try to keep it unobtrusive, and never have ads that could be confused with actual posts. You know those kind that appear in the middle of text and masquerade as posts? I hate those.

exactly how it should be, I still see the site supporters banner at the top, and when im using a different machine/browser the adds here are just as you said unobtrusive.

I think you guys do a great job. Its not easy to mix business with pleasure which is where most site try to operate. I commend you for your proactive stance.

+1! Same thing with B of A coming out against McMillan, we can vote our disapproval of their actions with our use/lack of use of their services. I just wish the other engines were as good and easy to use as Google...

Please just do the opposite of what vertical scope does when they buy a forum and ruin it.

However, you still need to have ads in order to pay for the Bentleys that you bought for the mods.

I thought the largest expenditure was all the Arby's for TimW.

That was before the Bentleys, and is still a close second.

Shut up and send more coupons. I'm hungry.

For people that would prefer to not use Google search, as well as use a search engine that does not track you, try:

https://www.duckduckgo.com/?t=i

I use it all the time, its nice knowing what you type in the search bar is anonymous.
